Campsite Assignment

We now have our campsite assignment. We will be on Wright Campsite. We will be sharing our campsite with Troop 413, from Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Imperial, just down the road from us. We are in the same district, so we have run into them before, like at Spring Camp-O-Ree, when we camped right next to them – and we will see them again. So, it’s very important that we are on our best Scout behavior, at all times. We, the Scouts and Leaders of Troop 501, are going to set the standard, and we are going to set it high! We do this everywhere we go, and this will be no exception. It won’t be too hard to set the bar high, though… Troop 413 may be larger, but they are not better. The first way that we are going to set the standard is in uniforming. When wearing our uniforms, we will be sure to wear them right, and proudly – shirts tucked in, and neckers on and squared at all times. They have trouble in this area, so we will show them how it is done! The second way is through daily assembly on our own campsite, raising and lowering the flag, daily. Yes, we will fly the First Navy Jack. Dont Tread On Me! Finally, we will be prompt to all of our locations. We will be on time, and we will be prepared!

Scouts will enroll for merit badges after dinner on Sunday, under the Pavilion. Signups for high adventure will be on Monday morning! Wow! I can already feel the fun!!!
