Our next Court of Honor will be on Tuesday, May 26, 2012, at 7:00 pm. Court of Honor is where the Scouts are recognized for their advancement over the past quarter. Parents are encouraged to attend and support their Scout. Each family should bring a desert to share, and personal drinks.

Our May campout will be a relaxed experience at Saint Francois State Park. The boys will have the opportunity to play any games they bring, field sports (feel free to bring frisbees, balls, etc), and will even be able to fish in the Big River, should there be enough interest. This campout will be one in which there will be few formally organized activities. The campout will be from May 25-27, 2012 (Memorial Day weekend – but not Memorial Day). We will be leaving the church at 6:30, sharp.
In light of the campout, our Troop will not participate in the Memorial Day Good turn at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, this year.

The spring camp-o-ree was a great success! While the families of the Scouts of Troop 501 were weathering the storms that hit Saint Louis, we had a dry weekend, with mostly blue skies. The boys had a blast moving from station to station, and racing the car they built. The food was good, and there was plenty to eat. We can’t wait for the next one.
