The Patrol Leader Council (PLC) is the leadership corps of the Boy Scout Troop. In our troop, it is comprised of the Senior Patrol Leader (SPL), Assistant Patrol Leader (ASPL), each Patrol Leader (PL), each Assistant Patrol Leader (APL), the Troop Guides (TG), the Troop Scribe (TS), the Troop Librarian (TL), the Scoutmaster (SM), and his (her) assistants (ASM).
The Patrol Leader Council meets the last Tuesday of each month, at 7:00 pm. It is the PLC that is charged with planning each Troop Meeting, and developing the program for the Troop, and its outings. In planning the Troop Meetings, the PLC utilizes the Troop Program Features (Vol 1, Vol 2, Vol 3) and the Troop Program Resources manual, The Boy Scout Handbook, The Boy Scout Fieldbook, and other available resources. The plans developed bythe Patrol Leader Council are recorded on the Troop 501 Meeting Plan. Samples are available, here and here.
