Please Join Us for Blake’s Eagle Project

Please join us for Blake’s Eagle Service Project. He is installing a flagpole at New Hope United Methodist Church. We will get started at 10:00 am, on Saturday, June 15. We will be digging the hole, prepping it for the pole, setting the sleeve in concrete, planting flowers, and replacing the marble chips. Blake has asked that volunteers bring work gloves, shovels, trowels (for the flowers), a “two-man” hole digger/auger (12″) (if anyone has one), and other weapons of mass construction… The cement has to set for about 24 hours, so the pole and flag raising will occur on Sunday, June 16, at about 11:00 (Pole), and 12:00 for Flag raising and group photo. Please wear your Troop 501 T-shirt (or other Scout T-shirt) Saturday, and “Class A” (with merit badge sash) uniform on Sunday.

See you there!

For those of you who would still like to lend financial support to this worthwhile cause (the project is still in a deficit), the fundraiser that Blake designed remains active. Please click here, or read the next post for further information…
